Stay Woke: Christine Blasey Ford Needs Support Now, Like Anita Hill Did Then.

Making the rounds on twitter is a 27 year old ad opposing the confirmation of Clarence Thomas as an Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. 1,600 black women took out a full page ad in the New York Times to show support for Anita Hill who’d come forward against Clarence Thomas with a claim of sexual harassment.  They each put $25 toward the price of the ad and signed their name.

Happening now, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford has requested an FBI background investigation into Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Dr. Ford wants the FBI to investigate her allegation as a “first step” before she testifies to the Senate judiciary committee. President Trump and the Republican Party do not want to delay the confirmation or allow the FBI investigation.

At this point, Dr. Blasey needs support. She should not be bullied into participating in a biased process and we should not rush forward with confirming Kavanaugh before all the facts are gathered.

A gofundme page for Christine Blasey Ford intends to recreate the same ad from 27 years ago to ensure the voice of the people are heard, not just to support Blasey but to maintain principles of fairness for all.
