It is considerably harder to look stylish in the dead of winter — or at least it was before Maison Valentino joined forces with Moncler to bring a luxury collection of puffer coats to cozy up in for winter. The outerwear pays homage to both Piccioli and the brand’s founder Valentino Garavani. The collection, overseen by the careful eye of Valentino’s Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli, consists of men’s and women’s winter pieces with a luxe edit. The two fashion houses combined their strengths–Moncler and its signature down coats and Valentino’s romantic flair–to create a selection of statement outerwear and handbags.
For the collaboration, the tiger print was applied to the quilting on a couple of the options giving them texture, and also as a graphic print on a green iteration. It’s particularly striking in shades of green, and dramatic in white.

On the more traditional black down coats, Piccioli added the VLTN logo, which look made for Luka Sabbat. The letters VLTN run down the back or across the bottom of coats in the contrasting color (black-on-white and white-on-black). Of course, Valentino’s signature red also made an appearance, giving a pop of color to the lining of the black jackets.
The collection will be available at the end of August and range from $2,500 to $4,200 with handbags starting at $2,095. The collection will be exclusively featured in select Valentino boutiques and on the brand’s website.
