March For Our Lives is a campaign organized by teens who are the surviving victims of mass school shootings culminating with the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland after a former student opened fire killing 17 people. In addition to the march, the students have created a petition demanding elected officials pass a law to ban the sale of assault weapons, prohibit the sale of high-capacity magazines and close loopholes in background checks that allow “dangerous people who shouldn’t be allowed to purchase firearms to slip through the cracks.”
