By now you might have heard Gucci donated $500,000 dollars to the #MarchForOurLives protest scheduled for today, March 24th. The protest was organized by a collective of kids and their families who will take to the streets of Washington DC to demand that their lives and safety become a priority and that we end gun violence and mass shootings in our schools.
The generous Gucci donation prompted New York Times best selling author and poet Cleo Wade and screenwriter and influencer Elaine Welteroth to surprise the Gucci New York office team with a #MarchForOurLives poster party yesterday.
We think it was Elaine’s connection to Gucci that got the ball rolling. Elaine is the former Teen Vogue Editor-In-Chief turned screenwriter for the hit TV sitcom Grown-ish. Either way the Gucci New York team seemed thrilled to further support the cause.
In addition to posters they also made t-shirts.
Everyone got in on the fun including Susan Chokachi, the President of Gucci North America.

There were a few distractions.

Distractions aside, Cleo Wade and Elaine Welteroth met their goal to create posters for this important movement and we cannot wait to see them all in action.
