Smooth polished waves aren’t happening in this heat. Hair stylist Filippo Del Boca suggests “undone beach waves” instead. Beachy waves can be rumpled and fuzzy—but not too frizzy. They should look windswept but still soft and lustrous.

Getting an effortless style does require a bit of work. Del Boca recommends using a mid-size curling iron on random areas of your hair to create more definition. Then finishing it off with a texturizer to get that slightly messy finish!
