There is an expectation that celebrities wear the hottest fashions from the biggest designer brands. This means that stylists are in constant competition for the same looks. But, there is a new trend happening in celebrity style. They still wear the hottest fashions and the biggest brand names, but sometimes it’s last season’s designs. Yes, celebrities are actually recycling looks from a previous season. Case in point, Kerry Washington recycled a Delpozo runway look for the BXCM Gala last month. The “Scandal” star wore a graceful, prêt-à-couture look from the Delpozo Fall 2018 runway show.

Romantic dresses with a period theme designed in luxurious textiles are all the rage right now. Kerry wore an artful gown inspired by unpublished National Geographic imagery from the 1930s of lily and lotus petals. The look is totally in-style with Fall 2019 trends. But rather than compete for the current season’s designs, Kerry’s clever stylist recycled Delpozo’s 2018 runway look. And why not? She looks stunning.
