The Ermanno Scervino fall/ winter 2019-20 catwalk operated like a prescriptive style guide informing head to toe looks for office, weekend, formal & evening attire. Ermanno Scervino considered every detail down to the pant & cuff lengths, shoes, and accessories.
Knitwear patterns for the office such as pinstripe, Prince of Wales, and hounds-tooth appeared unconventionally on flared mini skirts, corset dresses and shawls creating a more feminine look.
Scervino also designed a hounds-tooth blazer embedded with pulverized Swarovski crystals breaking the no-daytime-glitter rule. A model wore the eye catching jacket over a simple white shirt dress styled with patent leather Mary Jane heels.
The bright collection also featured glittering sweaters, animal-print jackets, eco-furs, and hats in a refined Florentine aesthetic that came tailored made for him and her.
The contemporary garments played with both masculine and feminine contrasts strategically combining each aesthetics’s silhouette and materials to an easy affect.
