Outside on the streets of Milan this Fashion Week all partakers of the events found themselves either leaving their coats in their hotel rooms, or busting them out and powering through shows; regardless of all the sweat they dripped over their designer threads. But inside the Hogan presentation room, the mood was ice cold with an all over ice cavern decor and upon entering, it may have seemed like the perfect opportunity to bring out those outerwear pieces.

For their latest collection, Italian sneaker brand “Hogan” presented a range of footwear pieces, accompanied by a few jackets and accessories all combining urban sportswear design with arctic embellishment. While a fur coated and platinum silver sneaker may come off as a bit too much to many, the sleek crispiness and architectural design makes up for a good contrast in excess and refined design. Highlights of the collection include the ‘Max.I.Active’ model for women and the ‘Urban Trek’ for men.

Although Hogan’s are often joked about as being an “older” person’s sneaker, this latest collection offers up a flashy take on some industrial designs; hitting an alright in-between of the “ugly” sneaker trend while still staying true to the brand’s sophistication.

When next fall/winter rolls around, we’ll be sure to see middle aged European moms and dads stepping around in the collection, as for millennials and the younger generations? Well, we’ll have to wait and see..
