This stylish, high tech boot is perfect for commuters.

It was Elaine Welteroth that led us towards our singular obsession with white boots. The former teen Vogue editor, turned Grown-ish screen writer, turned Project Runway mentor wore white boots EVERYWHERE – on the street and even the red carpet – making white boots the ‘little black dress’ of footwear.

It is why we are so hyped about Jimmy Choo’s new “smart” boot which features our inspirational design and color. The price tag is a big ‘ouch’ ($1,795.00) but that shouldn’t stop you from being thrilled by this cool bit of fashion technology.

The smart cold-weather boots are made of water resistant materials, they feature heated insole technology that keep your feet warm in the snow, rain, and coldest of temperatures and you can adjust the boot temperature (which ranges from 77°F to 113°F) through an app on your phone.  The boot’s heating power lasts up to 8 hours and can be recharged through a hidden USB port underneath the back collar.

For commuters this means the walk to the subway in the dead of winter is a little less of a pain. And when you arrive to work your ‘on trend’ (and water resistant) boots look great, so you don’t have to bother lugging another pair of shoes in your bag. Love that!
