Pharrell isn’t the first to re-imagine the modern day work suit but his vision is one of the most appealing. For the G-Star Raw RTW debut Pharrell releases a new business uniform that mixes blue collar with white collar applying Savile Row tailoring to classic coveralls.

The result is a relaxed silhouette option to the strict business suit design from the past. And the contemporary new design is less gender-conforming than traditional business wear.
What makes G-Star’s new suit more “corporate friendly” are the pinstripes, herringbone, and chalk stripes used through-out the collection. In fact, Pharrell launched the collection with 5 different heritage patterns available for both men and women.

From a fashion perspective the G-Star jumpsuit is very on trend. Jumpsuits first appeared on the Fall 2018 catwalks of Daks, Marni and John Elliot. They also made a huge splash on the Spring 2019 Byblos runway last September.

The G-Star Raw campaign styles the jumpsuit as a layer over traditional Cambridge shirts. In a few images the top half is tied around the waist to show style versatility.

The collection is available now online and in-stores. Below see the full look book for the G-Star Raw Suit collection:
