Tactical, Avant Garde, Awkward, Jedi

Young designers Pierre Kaczmarek and Elena Mottola of hip Parisian brand “Afterhomework” recently unveiled their latest collection at Paris fashion week continuing their title as youngest designers on the fashion calendar. An awkward interpretation of dresses, skirts, and shirts it’s as if the duo were pondering the characteristics of the basic garment.

With a rather dull color palette we find most of the excitement coming from the technical aspects and irregular cuts. A couple noticeable trends include many loose hanging bungee cords and straps, as well as oversized baggy cuffs along the ankles of the pants.

The look of the collection is that of a Jedi mixed with Parisian and street influences (s/o Obi Wan Kenobi).

Multi-purposed pieces with designer attention, Afterhomework Spring 2019 suits all victims of fashion looking to stay relaxed and move freely when on the go: all the while keeping an avant garde image.
