This is a day to celebrate HEROES. Earlier today ‘The Women’s March’ posted three videos of members disrupting the confirmation hearings of anti-women’s rights judge and Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
If appointed into a lifelong position as a Supreme Court judge Kavanaugh would work to roll back decades of civil rights, voting rights, women’s rights, immigrant rights, and workers rights. He would also impede progress for responsible gun policy. (The NRA is spending more than 7 figures to confirm Kavanaugh, according to Every Town)

If that isn’t enough to make you search for your superwoman cape and join in a peaceful protest, take a look at Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.) with 11-week-old daughter Maile — at the #WomenDisobey sit-in at the Hart Senate Office Building. About 575 women were arrested that day for demonstrating against Trump’s immigration policies.

The Senator now famously yelled, “What would it be like to have my breast-feeding child ripped away from me?” Duckworth said.
Ms Duckworth – a double amputee and Iraq War veteran – is known for her trailblazing support of working mothers. After giving birth to her daughter earlier this year, the 50 year old Illinois State Senator made history when she got her colleagues to vote unanimously to allow infants in the chamber, arguing a more family-friendly policy would set an example to the nation.
These moments are inspiring. I cannot remember a time in American history where so many groups of people were so demonstrably engaged. Moments like these deserve to be remembered. And that’s what holiday’s are for, celebration and remembrance!
We have holidays for everything, for friends day, for taco day, even one for ‘No Brainer’ day. We need a #WomenDisobey holiday!
Surely that’s a no brainer.
