“If I know what beauty is, it is because of you.” Hermann Hesse
Fashion new comer A Peace Treaty creates good energy, and good clothing. Designed in New York City by Dana Arbib, the artisanal fashion label is founded on the belief that clothes can be beautiful, hand-crafted and affordable (range 150 – 480 USD).

Born in Tel Aviv and raised in Toronto, Arbib’s designs are influenced by her father’s Libyan Jewish heritage and Roman upbringing.
As a frequent globe-trotter to far flung places including Pakistan, Turkey, Chile and Peru she is also influenced by old craftsmanship techniques by artisans in the Americas, the Andes, the Himalayan Valleys and the desert countries of South Asia.
Each textile and pattern is developed in-house.

The owners collaborate with a generational silk painting business in Colorado to hand paint abstract patterns in a palette of colors reflective of the Rocky Mountains where the pieces originate.
A Peace Treaty’s latest collection is filled with the rusted colors and raw fabric on rap dresses, peasant blouses, flowy skirts and pajama-style cuts.

The relaxed silhouettes of the new Resort wear collection has all the right elements- whether its the flattering color, or the fit is right or that it is just an interesting piece of clothing.
