Olivier Rousteing’s Balmain Spring 2019 menswear collection had one of the best women’s wear collections of 2018. The 32 year old designer premiered the 112 look collection yesterday at Paris Fashion Week Men’s and of the total runway looks 31 were worn by women.
The style of the women’s wear looks on the catwalk went from night to day instead of the other way around. The female models first appeared in ultra glam, bias-cut cocktail dresses then switched to over-sized boyfriend sweaters and duckbill shoes.

It was the age old story of: What would I wear if I partied all night, spent the night at my boyfriend’s house and then left the next morning?
Now we know!
There were also lavish daytime looks. The traditional Breton stripes trademarked by the French received a glittering upgrade. Sequin Jackets and t-shirts were designed with Breton stripes but the best Breton versions were the classic sweaters and sweater dresses with hangar-pad shoulders.

There were also beautifully tailored day dresses with Breton stripes and floral epaulet shoulders.

The best look from the collection was the GOAT Michael Jackson t-shirt dress. Model Tami Williams walked the runway in the bias cut design. The dress was paired with electric blue, over-the-knee boots fit for a King. It would be perfect on Beyonce. She could wear the look, H2T, straight off the runway.
