For Spring 2019 Miguel Vieira presented a pop inspired collection. It was young, witty, sexy, gimmicky, glamorous and bold. The color palette was curated from the pop art craze when high fashion as the thing of elites was challenged by artist like Andy Warhol who created popular, mass produced fashion items during his stint in the fashion world.
In the sixties, Warhol started to print his art designs on paper dresses which were at the time a novelty. The sensational bold colors and witty designs sparked a fashion revolution, and the trend continues to this day.
The Miguel Vieira spring 2019 color palette recalled that pop art iconography. The collection’s primary colors were Riviera red, saffron yellow, caviar black and navy blue. The use of bright shades as an all-over color on structured suits and separates was fun, flirty and flagrantly ostentatious.
