Oslo’s 16th edition of the Vestfossen Kunst Laboratorium, an international exposition curated by Demetrio Paparoni titled ‘Contemporary Chaos’, will present over 60 artists’ works including paintings, photographs, videos, performances and installations. This year whimisical interior design house Fornasetti will exhibit ‘HANDMADE’ a design installation created by Barnaba Fornaseti and Valeria Manzi.

This is not the first time Fornasetti has been approached by the art world to create an installation. Barnaba Fornasetti’s unconventional approach and methodological to design often attracts curators from the world’s most important museums and theaters. 05_Photo Credit Contemporary Chaos, Vestfossen Kunstlaboratorium, photo Nina Ansten

The beautiful new work is the latest ‘handmade’ project from Fornasetti. In 2016 Fornasetti debuted “Tema e Variazioni, an award-winning book entirely handmade containing 100 Fornasetti design illustrations. The following year the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) in New York honored Barnaba Fornasetti with the Visionaries Award, an accolade that celebrates innovation, excellence and creativity in the field of art and design.

The exhibition will be on show with the Vestfossen Kunst Laboratorium in Oslo until September 23rd.
