The foundation of Norðan is based upon an imaginary journey to the northern hemisphere and is inspired by basalt rocks, mist, soil, seawater, moss, rust and driftwood, which is washed ashore. The designer’s choice of materials is a reflection of the scent of the north. A tactile exposure of a variety of surfaces. Rough linen, heavy cotton, silk, wool, leather and blends of recycled materials from various fibers joined in a synchronized symbiosis.
