Yesterday Rihanna courageously tested the depths of her epic style reputation wearing a pair of Ugg boots to this year’s Coachella festival. From our vantage point it was an epic fail. There isn’t a celebrity past or present capable of making the now famous Y/Project x Ugg boots attractive and while Rihanna did give it a try, the style star selected the monochromatic look we saw on the Fall 2018 runway, sorry not sorry – she gets no cigar.

TBH we are biased, Ugg boots are not a design style you should wear out in public. The soft and comfy but hideous boot only deserves to be worn in the confines of one’s home.

Every once in a while celebrities and civilians do wear the dreaded boots in public but never successfully with sartorial flair. But that’s simply our opinion.
