Ermenegildo Zegna Fall/ Winter 2018-19: Monochrome.

In fashion terms, monochromatic dressing means wearing separates of one color, maybe in slightly varying shades, all in one look. Monochromatic dressing temporarily died in the early 2000s as fashion influencers preferred multi-hued looks to create depth and interest for their social media feed.

But Zegna may have found a way around that issue. The monochromatic looks presented on the runway are layered in one color family but with different textures and/or similar shades of single-hued color for a rich tonal look.  Together the colors and textures create interesting dimensions and allows for a play on silhouettes, accessories, and different styles.
