I will visit a place twice for great atmosphere, and if it’s Instagram-ready I’m hooked. I recently read an article written by Casey Newton of The Verge about a San Francisco-based restaurant called Media Noche designed as an Instagram-able destination for influencers and foreign tourists visiting the city. The new Gucci Garden Caffè in Florence is the same as that, x Guccy!
I know a lot of cool Instagram-ready spaces. I’ll share one with you each week. But let’s start with the new Gucci Garden Caffè. It is so Instagram-worthy, great light, graphic walls, lots of color and cool theme – “Gucci“! And it’s housed inside a palace for goodness sakes in the beautiful and historic Palazzo della Mercanzia in Florence. Creative director Alessandro Michele designed the space to be a boutique, a restaurant and a museum. The exhibition-style rooms are curated by fashion critic Maria Luisa Frisa.

One of the best things about the location is the size. You’ll want to return here again! It’s a really large space with multiple rooms and each have a different interior. The exhibition area is super monochrome. The walls and heavy drapes match the beautiful parquet oak floors. It helps focus the attention onto the floating mannequins dressed in looks from the Gucci runway.

Other rooms are staged like formal libraries decorated with vintage Gucci items placed on the shelves like chachkies.

The caffè is actually an osteria-style restaurant by three star Michelin chef Massimo Bottura. Here the atmosphere changes completely!
And get a load of the food! Instagram, Instagram, Instagram! Eat!
