Dior Makeup Holiday Look Inspired By The Natural Beauty Of Precious Gemstones.

Every year Dior posts the most creative makeup holiday video that ripples across the beauty world. This year the Dior makeup holiday look is inspired by the natural radiant shades of precious jewel tones. And we totally get it, why not accessorize your face the same way you accessorize your dress – with shimmering jewels!

The video shows Dior’s director of makeup Peter Phillips introducing their new “Precious Rocks” collection and applying the seasonal makeup line to the beautiful face of Lindsey Wixon. By the end of the tutorial, Phillips creates a sparkling holiday look we could all try!

According to Phillips, the key to getting the look is to “embellish her eyes with pure, prismatic shades”.

We love the Emerald palette which marries emerald greens with grey and pink, while the Ruby edition shown in the video dresses the eyes in red, burgundy, brown, and ivory.

Also new this season is the Diorshow Bold Brow described as “the golden light”. It leaves the eyes sparkling — it shapes the brows while adding a sheer, golden shimmer, for a bold festive look.

On Lindsey Wixon the total look is mesmerizing. And while we aren’t sure if adding an equally dark lip is the right move, it’s totally worth a try!

Here are a few other brands (Fenty, Urban Decay, Pat McGrath Labs & Sonia Kashuk) that can also help you capture the essence of the Dior Holiday look! If you try it, send us your pictures! We will share them here on The Fashion Plate Magazine!
