A simple box cut design wrapped in cream bouclé fabric. No, we aren’t talking about the sublime Chanel jacket, we are talking about furniture. A nice idea right? Not too much of a stretch of the imagination. I mean, why not! The most popular Chanel jacket in history is made with the versatile bouclé fabric. It was an immediate success when introduced by Coco Chanel herself and the bouclé box cut jacket is still one of the most coveted pieces in a woman’s wardrobe.
A Chanel runway wouldn’t be complete without at least one design in bouclé
A Chanel by Karl Lagerfeld runway wouldn’t be complete without at least one design in bouclé, even for spring! People fall in love with Chanel’s bouclé designs for its beauty, its resilience, its versatility and elegance. And it’s so soft! It’s about time someone used this lush material for something equally useful.
Art Basel kicked off yesterday and it’s sister fair, Design Basel Miami, is also happening. And the new design style on the scene is the Asana chair made with bouclé fabric by Pierre Frey, a notable French furnishing and interior fabrics manufacturer.

Bouclé is an ideal furnishings fabric because it is created with two different types of yarn – one for strength and one for texture and softness. Can you imagine how great it would be to come home after a long day and just relax in something soft and comfortable? We can!
But you can actually go and try it out!
