Sneak Peek: Temptation Cancun Resort, Mexico!

Opening next month is Temptation Cancun Resort, an intimate new property that’s all about positive energy, heightened experiences, culture, art and design.

Designed by internationally acclaimed industrial designer Karim Rashid, the resort and interior design are inspired by the human body. The concept of “sensual minimalism” led to a contemporary superstructure that’s seven-story’s and 428 rooms full of sinuous curves, privacy-optional interiors and stimulating colors.

Karim Rashid takes an innovative approach in mixing textures and materials: colored concrete with rubber floors, for example, or ceramic tiles with metal and epoxy with dark wood.

Temptation Resort’s guestrooms, suites, restaurants, night clubs and poolside bungalows offer both the use of creative materials (like opaque glass bathroom walls) and playful designs, such as light-box art installations behind each bed and outdoor pod chairs with lids that close for private moments.

Outside the bright blue of mosaic tiles draw the eye to the colorful swimming pool shaped in one of Karim Rashid’s trademark fluid curves. The pool is landscaped with sunbathing decks ideally arranged for daytime lounging.

Topless optional, of course.
