Rocco Barocco is synonymous with soft pallets and romantic and feminine looks. There was very little expectation that the revered designer would deviate from the simple and luxurious style of dress typical of the Rocco Barocco brand.
The first clue that things had changed arrived via the press release. “The new Rocco Barocco collection bespeaks the woman with a contemporary and underground attitude.”
The new Rocco Barocco girl translated into a punk brit. Fitted jackets, constructed shoulders, trouser suits and tough-girl leather swept the runway. The DNA of the brand, the romantic ultra-feminine girl, remained but only in the details. Floral embroidery and soft animal prints adorned jackets and longuette dresses as trim. Ultra-feminine skirts layered deep beneath elongated army jackets featuring crests and coats of arms.

The fun tartan and plaid skirts and tights will be a best seller. The clash of punk studs on the distinctive Scottish chequered fabric stood out as provocative and unusual.
