We are still buzzing from the global response and the collective female spirit at the Women’s March on Washington a few days ago. And the new Spring 2017 collection by sisters Enrica and Roberta Antonelli, owner and operators of Antonelli Firenzi, help to keep the empowerment floodgates opened.
The designers come from humble beginnings brought up under the watchful eye of their father, a proprietor of a local laundry service in Florence, Italy. In true entrepreneurial fashion, Enrica and Roberta seized an opportunity to expand the business using the family connections in textile and fashion production. Their company Antonelli Firenzi began in 2001 with a single product, an exclusive line of white couture blouses.
Today Antonelli Firenze offers a full line of lux basics with an eye towards elegance and comfort.

The collection designed “for women by women” is distinctive, edgy and cool with a strong Japanese-design aesthetic. The brand has the potential to fill Milan’s impending gap from the loss of Marni’s woman-centric creative director Consuelo Castiglioni. (Marni is currently in transition under a radical new creative director, Francesco Risso.)

Antonelli Firenze, once available primarily to the Italian jet set in Italy’s central region, can now be found in over 500 boutiques globally or at one’s fingertips with delivery in 24 hours through their eCommerce website.
To top it off, the sisters join the growing list of eco-friendly designers with their use of raw textiles and their commitment towards better production planning.
Score one for the women working towards a better tomorrow.
