During one week in October, from October 19th to October 22nd, Paris will become the center of the art world. Each year Paris’s Grand Palais hosts the FIAC [Foire Internationale d’Art Contemporain] bringing together modern and contemporary art galleries, drawing a crowd of over 70,000 visitors.
All media are represented: painting, sculpture, photography, installations, videos, performances, and digital arts. For it’s 43rd annual event the FIAC has assembled 186 galleries, originating from 27 countries.

In the news is the recent program addition by the FIAC to the contemporary art world. “Parades” is a new performance festival aimed at highlighting the role of music, dance, performance, and poetry in the role of contemporary art.

The FIAC 2016 will also present an ensemble of outdoor works in the Tuileries Garden, in association with the Domaine National du Louvre et des Tuileries, and a selection of monumental outdoor sculptures on the Place Vendôme in collaboration with the Comité Vendôme.
