Rossella Jardini’s “Folkloristic World” For SS17

Penned by  Riccardo Pianezzola

In the sumptuous neogothic Grand hotel Et the Milan a contest took place- the new Rossella Jardini ss17 woman collection, with a taste between the ethnic, hippie and folkloristic world, in a festive jump back to the ’70s.
Precious materials such as cotton-silk and washed satin are declined in a wide chromatic variety, paying special attention to the Stylist’s favorite color: the absolute white.

Shapes’ essentiality are in contrast with the richness of details and embroideries for tops, skirts and mini shorts while assembled passamanerie are reproduced in “trompe l’oeil” stamps.
The beauty of this collection is reflected in a silk crepe de chine coat embroidered with multicolor strings paired with a raso silk t-shirt and underwear and a crepe jacket with viscosa fringes.
Important collaborations between the Stylist and Bijoux Iosselliani for shoes, earrings and necklaces with inspirations of Ancient Greek taste and with the painter Fausto delle Chiaie for the collection’s painting and themes.
