Fashion legend Patricia Field, best known for being the genius behind Carrie Bradshaw’s couture in TV’s “Sex and the City,” closed the glass doors to her boutique on 306 Bowery last year and opened them to The House of Peroni.
Last night, Peroni Nastro Azzurro and renowned photographer and film director, Francesco Carrozzini debuted a much-anticipated program dedicated to Italian fashion, culture & the arts. Attendees at last nights festivities included Solange Knowles, Bee Schaffer, Jamie Commons & Victoria Gucci.
The private cocktail party featured a performance by Jamie N Commons, a DJ set by Neon Indian and an immersive light and sound installation by London-based sound designer Max Cooper. Guests sipped on Peroni infused cocktails and enjoyed bites from New York’s Italian culinary institution Cipriani’s as they toasted to Carrozzini’s hub of cultural inspiration.
Curated and designed by Carrozzini, the House’s aesthetics was inspired by the minimalists interiors of Capri’s iconcic Villa Malaparte.
Following last night’s opening, from September 8-10, the space will be open from 2p.m. – 10p.m. Guests will be able to enjoy specialty cocktails and small bites in a chic cafe setting, as well as artistic collaborations by Italian contemporary artist Vanessa Beecroft, award winning costume designer Catherine Martin and Max Cooper.
Each day’s program will also feature discussions between Carrozzinni and artistic collaborators as well as musical performances by LCD Soundsystem’s Nancy Whang and Oberhaufer, among others.
