First Look: Former Hermès designer Christophe Lemaire’s collection for Uniqlo

Uniqlo and Christophe Lemaire are a permanent item. The brand made it official with an announcement that the former Hermès designer would be coming onboard as artistic director of the newly established Uniqlo Paris R&D Center.

And today Uniqlo unveiled a first look at Lemaire’s collection as in-house Uniqlo artistic director, alongside a launch date and a corresponding website. The fall/winter line, which is called Uniqlo U, will arrive online on October 14th in its entirety, and all Uniqlo stores will carry a portion of items with a few stores carrying the full range.

Expect to find 50 women’s and 34 men’s items in total, including knits, outerwear, dresses, and jackets. Some mainstays of Lemaire’s earlier Uniqlo collabs make an appearance in this full-blown line, like cozy-looking cashmere sweaters, dresses, and long cardigans. New this time around are down coats, padded jogger pants, and padded mittens. Prices range from $15 to $180.
