The rising star of Danish fashion, designer Anne Sofie Madsen is inspired by “pop culture and world culture”, and delivers an exciting new offering in the womenswear field.

In contrast to the more conventional shows at Paris Fashion Week, Anne Sofie Madsen launched on the scene in an underground parking lot in the center of the city. The circular and winding carport became three floors of runway for models dressed in ultra-cool streetwear for a F/W16 collection that focused on contrasting shapes, always with something abstract.
Boyish and feminine at the same time, the collection resulted in designs that straddled between fanciful fun and a serious intricacy for detail.
“I like to challenge and push the boundaries for everyday wear and at the same time it is really important to me that the garments are in their own way functional and wearable. It’s not about garments for princesses in a fantasy world, but I do wish to bring magic into reality and preciousness into fashion” -Anne Sofie Madsen
