Spanish Craftswear Label Delpozo Opens New Flagship Store In Knightsbridge.

Spanish women’s wear brand Delpozo opens a new store in London’s Sloane Square. The new outpost is one of the first retail spaces to open within Cadogan’s 131 Sloane Street development designed by architects Stiff + Trevillion.

The 360 sq m store, arranged across two floors and includes a dedicated bridal suite, will be in good company when Red Valentino opens next door. The two high end retailers are expected to bring increased foot traffic to the south end of the Knightsbridge street.

Delpozo pre-fall 2016

Founded in 1974 under designer Jesus del Pozo, the Madrid-based label Delpozo was celebrated in Spain for its creativity and commitment to craftsmanship but was little known elsewhere. In 2011, following Del Pozo’s passing, the reigns were handed over to Barcelona-born designer Josep Font and two years later the pret-a-couture label made its way to New York Fashion Week where its debut was met with critical acclaim.

Having successfully catapulted into the international scene the label, known for its striking silhouettes, has set its eyes on expansion. Font, who will oversee the new opening of the London store, says ‘I love the multicultural vibe that the city has, and Delpozo is for a global woman and I felt London was the city we had to land with our store.’
