New ‘Cat Lashes’ mascara by Burberry promises eye-opening volume and fanned out lashes that creates a cat-eye effect. Burberry, known for using social media to launch new products, turned to pinterest to share the new offering. The billion-dollar luxury company aimed to capitalize on the platform’s 38.5 million monthly unique viewers in the space.
The new mascara owes it’s pioneering new effect to the innovative hour glass-shaped brush, made with elastomer, which hugs, stretches and separates each lash to deliver a fanned-out lash look, defined in length from corner to corner.
The cone-shaped tip can be used to stretch out the outer corner lashes to emphasize a cat-eye effect. The rich, lightweight inky formula lifts and sculpts each lash from the root to the tip so lashes are extended and beautifully styled.
Cat Lashes, available in Jet Black, Chestnut Brown and Midnight Blonde, is sold at Sephora and on burberry.com for $29.
