Throw out and keep throwing out. Elegance means elimination.

Perrin Paris is a 125 year old heritage brand renowned for their conceptual wristlet that allows handbags to be worn rather than carried. The experimental accessories company currently has boutiques in Paris, New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
For Fall 2016 the designers at Perrin Paris are inspired by the sophisticated, minimalist style of Jean Michel Frank, an iconic interior decorator from the early 20th century.
Perrin’s designers relinquished handbags from overwrought design and embellishment, and instead focus on simple, beautiful tailoring and expert craftsmanship. The collection titled Pli (french for fold) is produced through an unusual technique where the leather is wood steamed, bent, lacquered and molded onto its metal structure.
“We chose chrome metal this season to bestow our handbags with a sleek and contemporary finish; not so subtly reminiscent of Anish Kappoor’s smooth and glossy metallic works.”
The color scheme is inspired by artist George Valmier’s abstractionist painting EVE (1930) lifting the bordeaux, almond green, anthracite grey, baby pink, taupe and the rich and lustrous licorice black. For more information or customer orders visit the Perrin Paris website
