Chloe Wise is a dynamic Canadian artist whose latest food photography series offers a delectable take on high fashion. The series, titled ‘Pissing, Shmoozing, and Looking Away,’ is a carbohydrate-heavy recreation of some of fashion’s most recognizable iconic purses from the likes of Louis Vuitton, Prada and Gucci.

From a Chanel bag made from layered pancakes to a cinnamon bun Saint Laurent purse, this seemingly edible collection is a powerful statement on consumerism and the relationship between empty calories and luxury.

Chloe Wise often works in a variety of mediums and found inspiration for the title of this particular exhibition in Queer Theorist Lauren Berlant’s essay ‘Two Girls, Fat and Thin.’
