The luxury footwear brand Manolo Blahnik will open a double fronted 1,000 sq ft unit at the Burlington Gardens entrance close to Bond Street soon.

The company embarked on an ambitious reinvention project which included the installation of a new floor and a new roof. The restoration of the Burlington Arcade property was overseen by leading British architect Jamie Fobert.

Markus Meijer, chief executive of Meyer Bergman, said: “The luxury retail market is a competitive space and it is important that the Burlington Arcade evolves to ensure it maintains its prominent position in the sector. It’s a careful balancing act of maintaining individual and standalone stores and also introducing new retailers that complement our vision.”
