Vestiaire Collective, a popular social network for online resale shopping, announces a new initiative called Wardrobes for Women, a charity in which female icons of film and fashion sell garments from their wardrobe to raise money for the Women for Women International, a humanitarian association that helps women of countries torn by wars to rebuild their lives.

Olivia Palermo donates to the Women for Women International organization

“I am honored to be a part of this initiative that supports women. As women we all have a responsibility to support one another and I am glad Women for Women International gives us all the opportunity to contribute.” Olivia Palermo

Participants donating garments include fashion icons such as Keira Knightley, Lena Dunham, Diane Kruger, Chloe Sevigny, Dree Hemingway, Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o and Emma Watson, Olivia Palermo, Caroline Issa, Charlotte Dellal and Chiara Ferragni.

Since 1993, the Women for Women International has supported more than 430,000 women who survived the atrocities of wars fought in the most dangerous areas of the world. The annual training program designed by the association aims to give these women the opportunity to acquire vocational skills that enable them to achieve a stable income and to take care of their families.
