Annelise Michelson’s ‘Carnivore’ Body Sculptures

Annelise Michelson is a jewelry designer trained at the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture in Paris, where she was born and raised.  The tenacious designer made her start working for luxury brands such as Hermés and Vanessa Bruno, before stepping out on her own creating a new line of ‘carnivoure’ body sculpture accessories. The Spring 2016 Annelise Michelson collection began out of a desire to empower women. On the line, Annalise shared,

I don’t want to make women look pretty and harmless, says Annelise, “Women are sexy, desirable and complex.  I want to give them weapons”

The seductive qualities of jewelry, and how it takes on a personal meaning to each woman and how she wears it, appeals to Annelise. The designer molds and sculpts the metal to hug the skin, to create a feeling of intimacy.

Annelise’s pieces are all 100% hand-made in France, in limited quantities, produced in her atelier in the Marais in Paris, and through a network of carefully vetted artisans in Paris that the artist trusts.

The line is available online at the Annelise Michelson website.
