Artisan De Luxe: Equals French Vintage + California Living.

Artisan de Luxe Spring 2016
Artisan de Luxe Spring 2016

Artisan de Luxe is an independent lifestyle clothier in Los Angeles, California founded by french designer Philippe Naouri. The fashions recall the casual nature of the California lifestyle, and the simple ease and elegance of Marseilles, where the young designer was born.

At 15 Philippe traveled to Los Angeles to find vintage pieces to take back to his shop in Marseilles, but he fell in love with the California lifestyle and it inspired the creation of Artisan de Luxe

For his Spring 2016 collection Philippe retains the high standards often found in vintage craftsmanship, and he marries it to classic materials and silhouettes for a contemporary look.  Cloud chiffon blouses float over patchwork ‘boro’ style denim. The same Japanese ‘boro’ technique is applied to kimono style cardigans with jewel sleeves.  Lace is hand-embroidered onto sweatshirts and tank tops.  Mixed lace is applied to blouses, and gentle pleating gathers at the waist of off-the-shoulder maxi dresses.

The beautiful collection is available online at the Artisan de Luxe website
