For Fall 2015 Issey Miyake releases a new edition from it’s line of iconic bags, called the Guston. The new line is made from a single piece of top-quality leather, and, the bags are reversible- from a clean monochromatic color to a striking geometric pattern.
The sculptural, color-blocked bags combine cutting-edge volume-shaping technology with a brash, vibrant palette. The new Guston bags showcase a dynamic sense of form that draws on the fashion house’s unique “ring pleat” and “3D steam stretch” production techniques.
Also, the Guston bags represent a variation on Miyake’s “a piece of cloth” series. Using a simple, patterned piece of leather for the front, these bags are then joined to colorful geometric prints on the reverse side, creating reversible forms for the Guston tote bags and large clutches.
The Guston Fall 2015 bags are sold in major department stores worldwide and are available directly from the Issey Miyake website.
