The Stella Jean Fall/Winter 2015-16 collection features a divergent mix of cultures. And to best highlight this the designer takes us on a trip, from India through the Orient, in a modern-day campaign, that frames the Stella Jean city-girl. With nothing but a grey back-drop and a lone image, we ride the subway and walk the industrial city streets of Asia in Stella Jean fashion.
The collection is a visual mash-up of contemporary silhouettes from variant cultures matched with Stella Jean’s bold Haitian heritage and penchant for striking color, as well as her Italian-familial background in tailoring and design.
The precious collection features tulle, tweed and silk pieces, often in stripes and prints, in maxi dresses, skirts and jackets. The bold and opulent details on each piece, such as the beige trench coat and dress (below), range from hand-painted motifs to cool textile embellishments.
The collection is sold in department stores and boutiques around the world and is also offered online at the Stella Jean Official website: http://www.stellajean.it
