Designer Kate Spade launches a home furniture line for Spring 2016. The line was unveiled this past Saturday at High Point Market (a major industry trade show in North Carolina). It features 60 pieces home accents and decor including furniture, lighting, rugs, and fabric that are traditional but with modern influences and a feminine twist.
Kate Spade New York dates back to 1993. The atilier started as a handbag accessories line with just six silhouettes. The designer combined sleek shapes with colorful palettes in an entirely new way. Women and fashion editors all over the United States fell in love with the modern, fresh designs and in 1996 the first Kate Spade shop opened in New York City. As the company grew, it began to be recognized the world over.

In 1999 Kate Spade New York expanded from a much-loved purse atelier to a successful lifestyle brand that created everything from stationery to bedding. The home furnishings line was only to be expected.
Kate Spade’s first home collection for Spring 2016 is full of vivid colors and contemporary silhouettes.

The collection, which is based around chic spaces found in upscale New York apartments, has everything from sofas to tables to lighting. You can even determine whether your boudoir style is more fancy feminine or classic neutral.
In addition to furnishings and home accents Kate Spade also introduces a rug line. The sophisticated options range from natural woodgrain-inspired area rugs to bold floral pattern rugs of which both are trending patterns for Spring 2016.
