Marni releases a Spring 2016 capsule collection available now for pre-order. The collection expresses the eclecticism that is the experimental world of the brand.  The Marni capsule collection takes its color cue from the Marni Spring 2016 catwalk and expands it into a mix and mash-up of sophisticated individualism.

The capsule collection strikes a precarious balance of contrasts. The silhouette is fluid, with broad shoulders, soft and round, that extend into sleeves at various lengths. Floral embroidery swarm blouses in exercised patterns, while crystal buttons and boule embroideries are tastefully featured on calf-length skirts.

The proportions are experimental: boxy jackets are layered over skirts and trousers to create unconventional yet fluid suiting. The skirts have large functional pockets with thick embroideries of sequins and fur. And the graphic 80s styled belts add an additional layer of perceptive imagery. The look is bold, individualistic and idiosyncratic.

The painterly palette of austere tones in black, blue, burgundy, and gray contrast and mingle with hyper notes of yellow, pink, and red. The fabrics are fluid but compact in double faced textiles of georgette, silk and cotton, and angora and cashmere. Impalpable textiles in python skin and lurex are applied to outwear and suiting.  Also featured are vibrant geometric prints focused mainly on short tunics, long dresses and leisure suits.

The Marni accessories, featured in the the capsule collection available for preorder, are an interplay of materials and textures, mixing design with precision to balance taste and extravagance.  This is well executed in the boots inlaid with thick wooden soles and the robust pumps with functional latch and tie details.

The jewelry for the collection also taps the color palette with crystal earrings and brooches dipped in the same hyper notes of yellow, pink, red and green.

Delivery of pre-orders is expected by the end of November 2015 and shipping is available for all the markets currently served by Marni.com. The collection will be sold in Marni boutiques starting from 12 November 2015.
