On October 2nd, at 24 rue François 1er in Paris, the Christian Dior Maison inaugurated its new Dior Homme boutique (exclusively for menswear). Located just a few steps away from 30 Avenue Montaigne, the House’s historical home, the new Dior Homme boutique is its most contemporary retail outpost to date.
While the exterior of the house maintains classical french architecture, inside, the space expands over two floors in a modern, crisp atmosphere in black and white with touches of stainless steel and gray quartz. The latest collections of accessories, footwear and ready-to-wear are showcased in the new space that pairs modernity with elegance, tradition with innovation, and where natural light is reflected on the translucent white resin structures, creating an interplay of perspectives between interior and exterior.
On the ground floor, footwear, various accessories and leather goods are displayed in a minimalist yet profuse way. The first floor offers the widest range of ready-to-wear pieces designed by creative director Kris Van Assche. Just around a corner, a special space is designed as a salon dedicated to made-to-measure – a new exclusive service offered by Dior Homme.
Upstairs, the space is divided into rooms for ready-to-wear, casualwear and a special room for the brand’s demi-measure business, where clients can order suits and shirts and personalize those choices. Again a minimalist interior design strategy is at play. The large rooms are equipped with leather armchairs, and mirrored or wooden tables. Less glossy than the brand’s recent refurbishment in New York, here in Paris there is a quiet confidence to the concept, more suited to its hometown.
