For the Damir Doma Spring 2016 collection raw and diaphanous lines emerge – proliferating airs of artisan purism and a sense of an undone silhouette which explores the dry textures of weightlessness.  Pincheck cotton, brushstroke striped devoré, grained crepe silk, burlap linen and technical transparencies are layered in a ceramic palette of pearl grey, ivory and white posed against black and navy to reflect serene and rustic opposites.

Asymmetric swing skirts flick past the knee for a dropped silhouette that extends into column skirts and full tailored trousers, balancing the flyaway quality of sleeveless shirts and slip-dresses.  360 degree draping results in tied and twisted blouses, light structured shirting and bunched saddle dresses caught by beaten buckles.  Rough twine check appears seared into poplin, and inverted tapestry dots trace spill-lines across cotton check, whilst fringe and patchwork knit skirts and sweaters enforce a sense of fragile antiquity.
