Winter in Europe turns to Summer in Australia. Vacationers who prefer to travel in the off-season will appreciate this newly re-opened, former Ritz Carlton hotel.
The newly minted InterContinental Double Bay in Sydney, Australia retains the elegance and style of it’s preceding owner, The Ritz Carlton, which hosted the likes of Bill Clinton, Elton John and Madonna.
The new space has received a contemporary face-lift by architectural firm Bates Smart, all rooms feature marble bathrooms, while some have views of Sydney Harbour. The Royal Suite has floor-to-ceiling windows and a walk-in wardrobe that can store up to 80 pairs of shoes. The ground floor restaurant, Stockroom, is headed up by chef Julien Pouteau, while the star attraction is the rooftop infinity pool with bar, private cabanas and panoramic views.
