Chicago Architecture Biennial Features Massimo Iosa Ghini.

The first Chicago Architecture Biennial starts today and will run through January 3, 2016.  This will be the first Architectural biennial in Chicago and in United States’ history.  The Chicago Architecture Biennial will provide a platform for groundbreaking architectural projects and spatial experiments that demonstrate how creativity and innovation can radically transform our lived experience.

Designed as a multi-platform event, CAB will facilitate radical new thought about what the built environment should be in the 21st century. As North America’s largest international survey of contemporary architecture, CAB’s October 2015 lauch aligns with Venice, Italy; São Paulo, Brazil; and other great cities that are invested in the conversation concerning what the world should look like.

Keynote speaker, Massimo Iosa Ghini, is set to address Sustainability in Contemporary Design of “today” on October 26th.   He will lead the audience on a technical discovery of cutting edge solutions of contemporary, eco-sustainable architecture.

Speaker Massimo Iosa Ghini founded the Bolidismo Group and was part of the Memphis Group with Ettore Sottass. His design and architectural works have received honorable mentions including that of the Compasso D’Oro Award ADI, and in 2013 the most important institution of Italian projects, the Triennale di Milano, dedicated an entire anthology to his 30-year professional career.
