Burberry launches ‘The Scarf Bar’ to celebrate the lasting heritage and tradition of the iconic cashmere scarves.
The heritage of the Burberry scarf is characterized by a rich history in the quality of the materials and the high craftsmanship of the production and techniques. The iconic scarves are made in Scotland at Mills in two nearby towns, Elgin and Ayr. Every scarf is made of 100% cashmere, carefully woven on a traditional loom and finished by skilled craftsmen using methods handed down from generation to generation.
Burberry will make The Scarf Bar available in stores around the world and online. The bar service features a selection of over 30 colors, classic and lightweight cashmere, including the traditional iconic hue – camel, stone, gray, navy blue and red parade. In addition the bar features a customization option through, monograms, with embroidery in over 30 shades of yarn and up to three letters, choosing between two font sizes.
The Burberry Scarf Bar launches later this month with an online service at Burberry.com. Two Scarf Bar boutiques will open in Italy, one in Milan’s Via Montenapoleone 12, and one in Rome’s Via Condotti 59/61.
