This December 4th in New York City Christie’s Books and Manuscripts department will be presenting a large rare books sale including a first edition of the beloved classic Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, signed by J.K. Rowling (estimate: $45,000-65,000).

Highlights of the modern literature portion of the Cristie’s auction includes the rare true first edition of the signed Harry Potter book and a first edition of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland from the original printing blocks (estimate: $20,000-30,000).
