On June 27th, three years ago artist, writer and activist Bree Newsome courageously scaled the flag pole outside the Columbia, South Carolina statehouse and took down the Confederate flag.

Today she is still an incredible voice on social media and advocates ceaselessly for marginalized communities, particularly for the black community.
