The gilded designs of Fausto Puglisi have been called upon for one of Puccini’s most dramatic composition’s, La Turandot. Fausto will work with renowned set designer Leila Fteet to create costumes for new scenes in one of the most lavish opera’s ever composed by Giacomo Puccini.

The fashion plate below is a first look at the creative designs by Puglisi, the drawing clearly expresses his innate and immense passion for drama and cinematic fashion.
“Fausto Puglisi was the first name I thought of,” says director Alfonso Signorini.

His rock and extreme vision perfectly embodies the controversial, enigmatic and profoundly contemporary spirit of this work that for me adds great value.”
At a press conference announcing the project Puglisi said, “I’m used to creating stage outfits for rock stars from Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston, to Beyoncé and Madonna, but this is the first time I’ve been approached by the Opera Theater and I’m happy to be able to collaborate with Alfonso Signorini and Leila Fteet of whom I admire for their immense talent and culture.”
La Turandot will open the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago, Italy on 14th July.
